What am I doing right now?
Updated on 2 February 2025.
- Frantically juggling work deadlines, because the twin forces of perfectionism and procrastination have once again joined hands in unholy matrimony.
- Experimenting with a bold new lifestyle choice called “not sleeping enough.” Early reviews suggest it’s a terrible idea, but the vivid dreams are a nice bonus.
- Planning our wedding on March 24th. Apparently, people expect me to wear a suit. I’m still searching for one that makes me look like a competent adult.
- Attempting to reduce the number of things I own before we move to our house in April. The plan is to achieve minimalist enlightenment, but so far, I’ve just made a larger mess.
- Spiralling into analysis paralysis over whether to run Discourse on Digital Ocean or finally become the kind of person who knows how to set up their own server. GPT says it’s easy. GPT lies.

What could I be doing next?
By all indications, my near and distant future will involve:
- Realising at the last possible second that I forgot something crucial for the wedding. Probably matching socks.
- Moving into the new house, swearing to keep it tidy, and immediately failing.
- Continuing my endless quest for productivity tools that will change my life, only to abandon them within weeks.
- Finally setting up that server. Or, more likely, paying someone else to do it and pretending I did it myself.
- Finding new and inventive ways to procrastinate updating this page, thus ensuring its timeless accuracy.
