Google Latitude, now with check-ins

Google is on the move. This time it’s heading towards Foursquare and Gowalla. Latitude, which was silent for a while, now comes with automatic check-ins. A nice feature to have, but will this be enough to make them a real competitor? We all know Google has problems with ‘social’.
